Cage is absolutely beautiful. The only reason I took away one star is due to the instructions being more difficult than they should have been at the end, misaligned front piece that I can't seem to correct, and for some bent pieces (which were very easy to be back into place.) Note to others: when getting to the top portion, put the cage pieces in, then add the crossbars and tighten. You will save yourself a lot of frustration and finger pinching by doing it that way. It is still difficult that way though. Also, I recommend you go slow and make sure the cage stays in the channels before securing the crossbars. Nice sturdy heavy cage just as discribed but not exactly what I expected. It is pretty but the bars are thicker than our previous cage so it's harder to see the birds. It only has 1 actual access opening so not convient to move things around in the cage. Other 3 openings are for changing food & water out. This is very common for many cages but my birds are not tamed and I do not have a bird room. I love how convenient it is to clean the cage with the pull out grid and the metal tray. Much better than grid inside cage and staticy plastic tray. The cons are some parts are slightly off and the bottom catcher comes apart. Very well built cage, high quality wheels, stable, lots of space, a bit bigger than the standard 30 x 30 x 30 interior plus cart, but my birds love it. The only drawback is cage bars that go horizontally at the sides of the cage so you can't attach water containers and toys, etc., through the bars, but the front bars are vertical and perfectly spaced. Pretty well constructed. Everything fit together nicely. Directions are a bit vague at times. But my 16 year old daughter assembled it completely on her own with the tools provided in the kit. Fit and finish is nice. Rather sturdy for a wire cage versus a wrought iron cage. But thats why the price is half of a wrought iron. Really great cage after custom fitting it out the perch placement(made some from dowels), food&water, and toys. Also, it was big enough for me to get two new parakeets (4 in all) which makes for a lot of busy antics and chatter (which I luv).
