i’ve had this cage for five years and It’s perfect for medium sized birds. The tray is removable which makes it super easy to clean. the grate above it is also removable and acts as the “floor. there are gates on the front and back, as well as some some small ones on the right and right side to put food and water bowls in easily. it’s also on wheels so even though it’s big it’s easy to move around. there’s also a small “shelf” underneath the cage part which makes it easy to store food and treats or toys.. There is much to commend this cage; it is roomy, accessible and easy to clean. It is a good value. It isn't perfect - but I would, and will buy it again. I will simply say that I would be willing to pay a few more dollars to have a cage just like this one BUT with a more rigid construction (it is far too easy to deform the cage wire) with more secure, less flimsy sliding doors. This thing is a beast. The company that makes it usually sells it for over $1000. This is the place to buy. The instructions weren't crystal clear but we got the hang of it. There were a couple of random springs with no instructions as to what to do with them. AI came in handy. There was one piece of metal that was slightly bent and prevented the top grate from sliding in but it was easily remedied with a mallet. It is precisely 30dx40w without the skirt. I'm not impressed with the wooden dowels and am ordering other types of perches to install. For this price those tiny little side issues were totally worth it. I recently had purchased a large cage for her but it was way too big and she stayed in one corner on a perch all the time. This cage seems more comforting for one bird, or two. We bought this addition for our ferrets house HOPING it was the right one to fit. It fit like a glove. Our ONLY complaint is that the front panel had the brackets (to attach it to our existing cage) welded on the top, so we had to install it upside down to make it work. The door swings on the left, not the right, which is backwards, but it works. We just turned the latching hardware around to make it lock "right". Thankfully we are handy enough to figure that out.. Zazoo turns 25 this year, and we wanted a more affordable cage incase he is near the end of his lifespan. We hope he’ll like his new home. The cage was well-packed and the only damage was to one of the sliding pans. It was dented and chipped, but I’m not concerned. We bought this for our 13-year-old chinchilla. She's had other cages but this one was, by far, the easiest to put together. The instructions were clear and all of the parts were labeled, which was extremely helpful. The only challenge was putting the platforms in the cage. It's easier if you bend the bars just a little bit to get the platform where you want it and then bend them back in place. There's one platform with a hole for her to go through, but she bypasses that and just jumps up from the ramps. Adding the ramps took the longest; putting the rest together took maybe 20 minutes tops. The ramps connect to the platforms which is amazing. She had a cage before where they did not connect and she would push them down. The ramps are covered and she goes up and down them with no problem. Fantastic price and delivery of a quality bird cage (the 36x28 dome top is perfect for my active African grey parrot. A steal at $600 with Wayfair's massive sale! I am upgrading the caster wheels (Service Caster 5" wheels for $49) to give it more height and easier under-cage cleaning. Love the white color! My grey is very happy and I can put in more toys and a giant rope boing for her to hang out on. Once I get the new wheels (the stock ones are fine, it's just my preference) I'll add the seed guard..
