It was easy to assemble with 2 people. You almost need 2 people once is starts to be mostly together. That pressed wood can be heavy. It has that cheap backing but it all fit together well. We were able to adjust the doors so they closed nicely and then to get the seam between the doors to be small and straight. It took almost 2 hours. I added this to my salon studio since I needed drawers for my brushes, clippers, scissors etc…and I love it! I decided on this cabinet because of the positive reviews, and am so glad I did! I purchased two, and they are well built, there was no damage, and assembly was straightforward. My son (who is a licensed builder) put the first one together in 1 hour, and the second in 30 minutes. Using a power tool for the screws made it go quite quickly. My son was quite familiar with these types of hinges so didn’t have any trouble, but there are instructions as to how to adjust these to get proper closure of the doors. Thanks also to Prepac for including extra hardware - I have put together similar items in which much time was wasted looking for similar nails or screws because not enough was included. This wardrobe is a good size and gives lots of storage for a small space. The instructions were easy to follow and it was easy to assemble, until the doors. They do have soft close which is a great addition. The hanging space is tight, no sweaters or bulky items would fit. The space is only a small amount larger than an adult hanger. Might work better for small kids clothing. The hanging space is enough for a dress or longer coat lengthwise. The hanging space does not allow for clothing to be see, only the piece in front, unless you sort through them. Shoes, purses, or folded clothing can fit in the shelving area.
