Having more than 85 cumulative years of experience building, designing and engineering wood doors are excited to introduce three very important features. Our doors have been tested and approved to meet a design pressure (DP) rating of 45. In order to qualify for a DP 45 rating, our doors were subjected to extreme testing conditions that simulate hurricane-force winds up to 150 mph. Our doors also qualify for TDI (Texas Department of Insurance). Door Jamb is constructed of a paintable hard polymer shell with an interior close cellular structure that prevents water absorption while offering 2 times the screw holding strength than wood. Steel ball-bearing hinges were applied. Prefinished at our factory allows us to finish all edges of the panels, rails, and styles prior to assembly of the doors. This is extremely important for long life of the doors, minimizing panel issues. Our finish is a 9 step oil-based polyurethane process.

Ordered the door. It was supposed to come with the dental mounding sill but they sent the wrong model. I did not realize it until my contractor was installing the door. Minor piece missing and it does not make or break the door. Wayfair customer service was good with giving me a discount for the mistake. Now, the door seems decent quality. I wanted all composite and fiberglass to have no worries about rotting wood. The strange thing is that these doors can be ordered painted but according to the description only the door is painted and not the frame. Well who wants that? You could never match up the paint exactly. So I opted to buy a white door and painted it myself in a claret wine color which turned out pretty good if I must say so. Time will tell on the quality and if the door lasts. I’m hoping to get many years of enjoyment. And this particular door is a man door for my garage. May seem extreme to put a fancy door on my garage but it leads out to my garden and my deck so I wanted something a little nicer than a six panel door. No issues with delivery. Delivery men put the door in my garage and then I got busy painting for a few days before my installer came. I did not want to paint after it was installed as I’m no Picasso! LOL! All in all I’m happy. These doors are not cheap so I’m truly hoping it lasts a good long while.. Eva. Harrison Township, MI. Fri Jul 28 2023
