Pretty big fan of this chair, even though it’s not going to work where we’d hoped it would. Had hoped it would be a good option for my elderly mother, but it spins too easily and the arm rests don’t stay in place (the pads on top slide) when she wants to get out of it. The rest of us will use it instead. We’ll probably remove the phone holder, but I can see how that might be nice for someone holding a baby. Still, it’s comfortable, quality level matches the price, and the features work as they should. I am happy that the photo above does not show the chair I ordered and received. The chair I received has an exposed 5-leg swivel base and the arms have a wrap-around look giving it a more modern, less traditional style. It has less visual weight in the room but delivers the same comfort and use! The fabric has a soft, brushed velvet feel that looks beautiful right now, but with kids and dogs in the house, I will be treating it with a fabric protector. I would give it a 4.5 rating if possible with a .5 star deducted for the black pull handle on the inside of the arm at the seat seam that adjusts the height is convenient but very discordant with the soft comfy look of the chair. It can be tucked inside but does not seem to stay there. Overall, for the price this will be a versativle recliner that can be used as a desk chair and it looks clean, simple and inviting!. Ann. Really like this chair. The material is very soft and feels nicely made. It is also wide and padded. What I struggle with is the arm rests. It took me a bit to figure out how to lock them and due to my height I use them to get on the chair so I really need them secure so I don’t hurt myself. Bought this chair for my 13 year old son because we kept buying gaming chairs and they weren’t lasting. This chair was a pain to put together some screws didn’t align in the back. You definitely need 2 people to put it together. Also didn’t realize it was a velvet type material but it’s soft and comfortable. The foot rest is a little awkward in the front and my son wasn’t enthused, but once we put this together and saw the foot rest could second as a table on the side due to the rotating mechanics, we were so happy.
