The mesh seat and back provide breathability ( absolutely necessary in St. Louis humidity!), and dry quickly after a rain. I plan to store these in our basement overwinter to prolong the life of these chairs. I am not expecting these chairs to last a lifetime but wanted something affordable. These are good looking chairs at a reasonable price. They are lightweight but sturdy. The pillow on the back is a little smaller in overall size than the photo seems to show but it is fine. The only complaint is the low back, it makes for a sit up only chair and you will not be able to lean back in it for comfort and for sitting for long periods. Came quickly and efficiently. We love these. We purchased the 'green' color chairs (the color to me is like kermit the frog green). The are a little more light weight than I thought they would be, I hope they don't blow over in a strong wind. They seem really well constructed. One of the legs on one of the 6 was slightly bent upon arrival. I bet with some effort I could bend it back. They are aluminum not steel.
