The trick is there is no trick. What you see is all you need. The bookcase is about functional space that celebrates a single material and elevates your materials reading and otherwise. Back it up against a sofa, use it along a wall, or float it.

Looks great and is easy to put together. Sadly, the shelving space does not accommodate the usual sized book sizes so you have to lay many of them down horizontally.. Jeffrey. Boston, MA. Wed May 27 2026

This bookcase was exactly what I hoped for. I ordered 3 and was a bit nervous because another reviewer advised against trying to put multiple cases next to one another because they were reportedly crooked. However, I took a chance and hired someone to assemble them for me and they look fantastic next to one another! The bookcases are heavy and made of sturdy material and add a touch of elegance to my living room. The cherry oak matches my other furniture perfectly. Highly recommend!. Tiffany. Seattle. The enclosed back design keeps the look light, while the smooth finish blends well with a variety of interior styles. It’s a simple way to add vertical storage without overwhelming your space.

Gorgeous linen white color that matches our walls perfectly. Shipping took longer than expected. I ordered 2 of these and each has some slight imperfections from handling. Luckily, it's in hidden areas not visible. I wasn't expected these to be already built. Shelves are not easily adjustable because they come screwed in place. We use for our kids' books.. Eileen. TX. This solid wood bookcase brings a clean, architectural look to your space while offering plenty of room for organization. It's crafted from solid oak, showcasing visible woodgrain for added depth and a touch of organic texture. The open-shelf design allows you to display books, decorative accents, or storage baskets with ease. Its low-profile silhouette makes it a versatile addition that fits neatly under windows or against shorter walls. The stackable design gives you the flexibility to expand your storage as your needs grow. Plus, adjustable shelves let you customize the layout for taller items.

I purchased the 3-shelf size, 36" H X 48" wide. It holds my entire cookbook collection and does double duty as a divider between the foyer and kitchen/dining area. Beautiful, heavy wood in the mission style. The only thing I'm not crazy about is the backing. I wish furniture manufacturers would stop to consider that not every piece of furniture is going to be put against a wall, so it would be nice to have a decent backing. The back of this bookcase is some sort of shiny, vinyl covered panel and the color is awful. Maybe it was meant to be faux marble, but they missed by a mile. It simply looks like someone threw dirt on it then watered it!. Gloria. Exton, PA. Sat Apr 18 2026

Understated looks and smart storage. This whole simplicity thing down pat. Display all your fine ephemera up top and cram the rest of your belongings behind classy closed doors with absolutely zero judgment.

I was impressed with the quality of the product, and visually, it’s exactly as pictured. The long boards were not marked front or back which is very important. The assembly could have been easier if all pieces were marked. Had to be disassembled and switched for that reason.. Dawn. Cedar Falls, IA. Wed Apr 15 2026

Standard Bookcase offers high-quality laminate construction and contemporary design. Shelves are thick and made with thermally fused, laminate for long-lasting use. The visible, one-piece backing behind the shelves is made with matching laminate. Both sides are finished. The bookcase features adjustable shelves, one fixed bottom shelf, square edges, and adjustable feet.

This is a beautiful piece actually; it’s quite nice for the price point. Of course the instructions only show pictures with lots and lots of small detail and it’s always nice to have written instructions alongside. It took us longer to put together than it should have. One additional mention which I will be contacting you about is the back of the bookcase requires about 20 drilled holes to receive the final back piece to complete the project. Only two screw holes are drilled at the top of the bookcase, and none of the other holes are pre-drilled. We will have to drill the holes ourselves. Other than that, we are satisfied.. Patricia. Bloomington, MN. Mon Sep 07 2026

This classic bookcase brings clean organization to your home office or study area. It's crafted from solid wood, highlighting a smooth texture that coordinates effortlessly with various decor styles. A fully finished back panel adds versatile placement options, letting you position it against a wall or use it to divide your space. It also arrives ready to use right out of the box to save you time.

The color and style are perfect in our bedroom, however the first try arrived damaged and trying to re-box it in the original cut-apart, damaged box was not fun. The replacement arrived about a month after the initial, damaged shelf and is in good shape. This is the second time we have ordered a wood product that arrived damaged. I like the final result this time though. Last time the replacement console table was worse than the first one!. Ruth. Franklin, TN. Sat Sep 19 2026

The traditional style is beautiful and timeless, lending the perfect touch to any room. Sturdy and durable, this piece is built to last the quality and workmanship you’ve come to expect.

This is so pretty. I bought the white. My husband assembled rather quickly. He asked where I want the shelves because once you push the pegs in, they're hard to get out to readjust. Definitely a solid piece that I'm not afraid to fill with books.. Michele. Myrtle Beach Sc. Mon Jul 27 2026

This shelf is really nice. Very sturdy, easy to accessorize and looks great from all angles. Highly recommended for any decor. Easy to put together. It is heavy and we have young grandchildren, so we did secure it to the wall. While it does come with screws to secure it, they were to small safe we got better ones.. Judy. Thu Sep 17 2026
