This gate is amazing! My dog is terrible about going upstairs and getting on the girls beds. We were struggling to find an attractive looking gate that was wide enough for our large stairs (and black!!! Its not brown). The gate is designed so it stays how you put it. You can stretch it or shrink it as much as desired and it just stays. I love that it slides rather than opens and closes with a door. It makes it much more versatile and compact. It comes with the option to put legs on it that can either roll or pegs to make it stationary. We did not use them because they are too wide for the stairs. This gate is awesome. When you put some slats in and you pull the two outside boards apart slightly to put more in, the first ones would fall out like dominos. Very frustrating! We hired someone to put this together for us but it seemed to go pretty quickly. It looks just as pictured and I am pleased with it. I wish I had measured a little better - it is a bit shorter than I pictured so the a/c unit is a few inches above the top of the fence panel. That is my fault though.. Ellis. Highlands, NC.
