Directions are just pictures, so there are a few things I had to go back and fix cus the directions didn’t explain one part should happen first when screwing in pieces in each step. I love this porch swing! It is a great size. Why just the 4 stars? The instructions didn't have all the parts labeled and did not account for certain positions the pieces need to be in; you know, the things you realize when you're about finished with construction and realize the leg assembly on the right needs to be flipped around? Yeah, that made us decide to just leave the thing flipped wrong. Lol I took the pics right after a soaking rain, and you can see the design flaw with the fabric covering the top: the rainwater pools in sections no matter how much you have it tilted. It's a mess of a waterfall to refit the top. With that said, I really like the look and feel of this item, but my husband will need to put something sturdy and flat underneath the top shade thingy. This is a great swing. It was fairly easy to put together, although it's helpful to have 2 people for some of it. There is a small dent in the top bar, but not bad enough to send back. All and all, this is a nice swing. Difficult to assemble because the instructions are hard to understand. It takes three people to assemble the canopy. One of the polls broke off the end as we were trying to slide the fabric on. Suggestion: tape the canopy rods together where they meet.
