It works great for that however I didn’t expect that the tent stakes that came with it wouldn’t hold it down in the Oklahoma winds, they came out of the grains the first night. Extremely easy to set up. This is being used as a ball pit for youngsters at an annual festival, so it will get plenty of use. I would not call it a heavy duty tent, some reasonably good tent, but the fabric doesn’t feel real thick. It is reinforced in certain areas. I just did not sure how frequently I will want to use this. This was perfect for our all day children’s sports event. My young daughter and I were able to put up the tent in minutes! Fits in our vehicle and easy to carry.
