Some commenters complain that the curtains arrive with wrinkles that don't iron out. True, they come out of the box wrinkled, but washing them in a front loader on "warm" and tumble drying on "low" removed the bigger creases. A steam iron removed most of the smaller wrinkles. A few days of hanging on the curtain rod was enough to relax the rest. I assume that the light blocking weave has something to do with the stubborn wrinkles. I like these curtains but I knocked off one star because the background is a cool white and the description led me to believe that the would be more warm cream or light beige. (Cream bowl for comparison) I think that they will work in my room. Surface of the material is ever so slightly shiny and slippery, definitely a polyester feel.
