Polson Bifold Barn Door

Our White Folding Barn Door is the smart pick for upgrading your home: its folding design cuts down on the space it takes up when open, perfect for small or compact rooms, and it’s ready to set up in just 30 minutes -- the fully assembled panel has pre-drilled holes, so you only need to mount the included hinges and rails with the help of the clear manual. Built with solid wood and MDF, it stays sturdy through daily use without warping or sagging, and the white primed coating keeps the natural wood grain visible for a clean, elegant look, while also repainting the door in a different color. It works beautifully in bathrooms, bedrooms, home offices, walk-in closets, and more, balancing great style with practical function.

Everyone loves this barn door, including myself. The opening is 36 wide and I got the 36 therefore on the sides you can sort of see the opening but it’s ok for me. If you don’t want this for you, then I’d get the size 40. Carolyn. Hollywood, FL. Fri May 15 2026

This is the best thing I’ve gotten here ! I love the farmhouse look of this barn door closet doors and rail set. It was fairly easy to put together. We have an older home so its level was a bit tricky on one railing having to be a hair lower to clear the floor. The track is smooth the closer on doors is nice. I love the white out glass so you don’t see inside the closet and the mess. I was unsure about the floor track part and if I would see holes in my floor but they can’t be seen at all. It would have to be something you love since you do have to drill those in the flooring but we were 100 on it. The only issue we did have was one of the handles didn’t have the pre drilled holes on the door panels but my husband worked it out. Overall I recommend!. Veronica. Saginaw, MI. Wed Sep 30 2026

Aesthetically the bifold door is absolutely beautiful. Its heavy and well made. However, I do not like the placement of the knob as it is somewhat difficult to open without putting your hand towards the top bend of the door to help open it. Its possible it will become easier over time. But overall I absolutely love the door and I am glad I bought it!. Regina. Elgin, IL. Mon Mar 23 2026

For the original closet in the house, which is fairly small, this was the ticket to closet door perfection. When its open theres plenty of room to get through the doorway, and, it folds to the side, not shrinking the room. Great paintable finish but we arent going to paint it. It looks great just the way it is. L. Vancouver, WA. Mon Sep 28 2026

Lubann barn doors bring the warmness of color and richness of genuine rustic wood characters to American homes. Wood products are valued largely based on the wood species used in those products. What separates alder wood barn doors from barn doors of pine wood or other wood? Warm color and rustic look. Lubann barn doors are constructed of high-quality American knotty alder. Alder wood features beautiful wood grains and rustic knots, characters make each Lubann barn door aesthetically unique and rich in natural wood beauty. Besides, hardwood alder wood is more durable and stable than pine wood, and easy to be stained. Alder wood used in Lubann barn doors is milled in the US and certified by the national hardwood lumber association. We take pride in preserving the natural rustic wood look and being environmentally friendly when making Lubann barn doors. No adhesive (a major source of harmful formaldehyde in engineered wood and imported wood products) is used in the wood. You are not only buying a barn door from us but also bringing home a piece of natural artwork. We proudly make Lubann barn doors in the US and offer the most popular American farmhouse styles and many size options. Each door is a hand-built and unique piece.

Warning: I'm a noob level door installer and this is the first (and hopefully last) ever door install. Negatives: If you're installing this on drywall/studs, you will need a headboard. It doesn't come with one. If you don't know what that is, me too. It's pretty much a board that needs to be at least as long as the railing between 4-6" wide and 1" thick which you'll probably want to paint it. This is to support the weight of the door. You'll need to buy the board and some 3"-4" screws (probably black structural ones) to screw the board into your studs. There are mentions of this in the instructions but not in much detail and I didn't notice any in the description on the site, which would have been good but probably would have not bought it. The second big negative is the railing holes are spaced so you can't screw them into the studs. You can get one, but the others are relying on the headboard to support the weight of the door. This may affect your ability to center the railing so get a decent headboard. I believe my studs are 16" apart for reference. Minor negatives include the lack of predrilled holes that guide you for the hinges. I had to do a lot of research to figure out how close together to place the door to screw the hinges in. FYI, you want it around 1/4" or less and make sure the doors are lined up. I didn't like the pull handle that comes with the door (yes it comes with it) so I'll install something else but I 3d printed a temporary one in the mean time to avoid putting holes in the door. You will have to drill into the floor to secure the fixed side. I highly recommend getting some painters tape and letting the door hang where it needs to be and outline where the piece needs to be with the tape. Gravity for the win. Positives: I think it's a beautiful door. Hardware feels heavy and very nice quality. The doors itself feel high quality. Its solid wood and the weight of all pieces (doors and hardware) are heavy which adds to the feel of quality. This is a great option for somewhat awkward size openings and limited opening spaces. I had a very difficult time finding a contractor that would recommend and install a single door for me and was ghosted by all them after seeing the opening. This is a great option even for a first time noob installer. If you're going to go for it and have limited experience, it's not impossible and the fact that I was able to do it with good results means you can too! But, take your time and think things through. I gave it 5 stars because it really is a good value for what you receive.. Peter C.. VA. Tue Jun 16 2026
