The ClosetMaid Impressions Adjustable Teardrop Closet Rod allows you to customize the size to fit your closet's exact shape, expanding from 30 in. to 48 in. The teardrop design of the sturdy steel rod allows for a higher load capacity than a standard round bar. It also helps hangers slide easily. Add another rod to double-hang shirts over pants or hang high for longer items like dresses.

I installed the rods at exactly 48 inches. They feel lightweight but sturdy, and the hanging brackets feel sturdy too. The instructions were a little unclear, and I wasn’t sure what the extra screws were for, but I was able to install them. If you have the space, I’d recommend choosing a larger size for more support in the middle. I don’t plan to pack mine tightly; I’ll use them for my seasonal and most-worn clothes.. Kahrla_g. Ig. I really love this curtain rod. The hardware is stunning, the rod is sturdy, and relatively easy to install. Two reasons for 4 stars - I wish it came with extra hardware, we broke a few anchors tapping them into the ceiling. Also, the finials are slightly discolored. They look cheap comparatively to the rest of the rod. Not a deal breaker for me so still 4 stars.. Mary. Metuchen, NJ. Tue Apr 28 2020

Great curtain rod! Adds a touch of industrial, very sturdy and easy to install. The only issue I had was with the middle connection. The grip slid off and the edges are a bit sharp, so be careful if curtain fabric is touching the rod directly as it can rip them (if grip is off). Definitely buying one of these for my living room!.
