This Gesture chair was designed by Steelcase to be confident, intentional, and highly evolved with simple sophistication. The design was meant to inspire confidence that it would deliver a great experience time and time again. The key design driver was to fundamentally rethink the chair based on the movement of the human body and the way we work today. Gesture won the Neocon Gold Award in 2013.

Very happy with the colors I chose. Quality of material is high. It arrived pre-assembled in a giant box. It was well wrapped and there's not a nick or scratch on the chair. Since working from home I burnt through a $400 chair in 2.5 years. I decided to make the investment in a higher quality chair. So far when I sit in it my sciatica goes away and my body is just immediately comfortable. I'm only 5'3" and my feet can actually firmly be on the ground. Very happy that I went with the Gesture. It adjusts to fit my height and the arm rests come in closer. I think this chair would still be great for average height people, but it's adjustable so that it works for smaller builds too.. Sg. USA. I have djd and dsd and it is very bad in the lumbar region. This chair hits the spot and supports well! The only complaint is that sometimes the upper and lower back pulls at my garment and it gets stuck for a second. No big deal though.. Laure. Delray Beach Fl. Sat Nov 01 2025

This is a quality computer chair. It is incredibly comfortable. I misplaced the English assembly instructions and still managed to fully assemble it using the pictures in the manufacturer's language. I love the high back, as I'm a dentist and have horrible ergonomics, so I need something to force me to assume proper sitting position. From work to long-term gaming, this chair is one of the most comfortable I've had.. Andriana. Columbus, OH. Thu Oct 01 2026

The dynamic lumbar support, adjustable headrest, and 3D flip-up armrests help create a more ergonomic sitting experience for home offices, computer desks, study rooms, and executive workspaces.

Very high quality, easy to put together, and strong. I am a 6' 3", 310 lb man, and this chair is big even for me. Definitely recommend. I also purchased for the head support, and it is the prefect height for my head. The headrest is not height-adjustable, which is the only downside I see. The wheels roll smooth. The armrests lowest level is a tad high, but that doesn't bother me or my posture.. Josh. Minneapolis, MN. Sat Apr 18 2026

The chair felt very comfortable and the lumbar support is helping my back to not get so stiff after sitting down for sometime. The color is a bit darker orange than the pictures but it's not that much off. the only thing that I am missing or haven't found yet is how to make the back stay in one position rather than leaning back and forth. Overall I am very satisfied with this purchase.. Mohammad. Mukilteo, WA. Fri Feb 28 2025

The back is a little too upright for me and is not adjustable. I’m going to try to get used to that. The lumbar supports are good though. Kim. Newnan, GA. Fri Sep 11 2026

This L-shaped memory foam seat cushion offers balanced hip and back support with an integrated lumbar pillow that stays in place. Its contoured, hollow-center design relieves tailbone and lower-back pressure while improving posture and airflow. A washable cover, non-slip bottom, and lightweight build make it ideal for office chairs, car seats, wheelchairs, travel, and long sitting.

The seat is comfortable however, I would prefer the backrest to extend further upward to provide mid-to-high back support. Because the current height is relatively low, I frequently adjust the base to increase contact with my back. This is my sole observation.. El. Florida. Tue Oct 06 2026

The M59AS dynamic lumbar support adjusts to your lower back, offering constant comfort whether you sit still or move throughout the day.

I’ve gone through a lot of office chairs and a lot of different styles. This looked a little bit intimidating to assemble for an office chair but it was very simple to put together. Everything was packaged and labeled really well. The base is VERY heavy and sturdy. The arm rests and adjustment in multiple ways which is really nice. My only negative would be the feel of the seat but I use a chair pad so it doesn’t bother me. Move been really happy with it is far.. Julia. WV. Sat Oct 03 2026
