Great little space heater for small spaces! It’s very compact as shown when compared to a tissue box. Doesn’t stick out far from the wall. It has a place to wrap up excess cord on the back. Nice little handle for carrying and lightweight.It feels like it puts out a decent amount of heat considering its small size but I don’t think it would do well in big rooms or large spaces as sole source of heat.  The color is more of a yellow white/cream which gives it a kind of antique feel. I love it! It looks like realistic logs during the day. And in the evening the glowing embers and flame effect look very realistic and amazing. I’m do agree with others that the crackling sound is not realistic so we don’t turn it on. This fireplace has been such a wonderful addition to my home. I am disabled was able to do the very small amount of “installation” required by myself -one has to screw the legs onto the unit. I have tried several electric log sets and been extremely disappointed. Nothing on the market that’s a log set looks close to being a real fire experience. But this Napoleon sets comes closest. I assembled it myself in about 30 minutes. Instructions were easy. The “glowing fire “ could be more realistic, the flames could be higher and wider and the blower on the heater could be quieter. I paid much more for other log sets that couldn’t hold a candle (or flame ) to this set. I really like this electric heater. I prefer to use a small unit like this instead of turning on the main house heat. The imitation logs and flame look really nice. The heat comes from the bottom and is blown by a small fan. I’m giving it 4 stars because the digital display on the remote doesn’t work. We looked everywhere for an electric log set that would fit in the small firebox of our woodburning fireplace. Burning real wood isn’t practical in this 5th-floor condo in the city, but we love the ambiance and heat of a fire over the long Minnesota winter. We are extremely happy with this product so far! Since we have a snug firebox for the “flames” to project on, we chose not to attach the rear screen. The glowing coals and flames look pretty convincing in person, especially with the screen closed. We’ll have to use white tape to conceal the cord for now and eventually plan to hide it in a special track with the help of a carpenter coming to build our adjacent bookshelf units. We haven’t used the heating function yet since we’re current experiencing very hot summer weather, so can’t comment on that. Overall we’re just delighted with how this looks (more like a glowing coal basket, which we like, vs. “fake logs”) and how it’s allowing us to make use of this existing fireplace. Terrific heater! We had an electric fireplace from another box store that the warming unit went bad in and I was unable to get any replacement parts for. The measurements of this unit were correct so I replaced the other heater with this and it has worked perfectly, it even looks better than the original!
