It came faster than expected! Both packages arrived two days earlier than we originally thought, which was great! It took longer than I thought it would to put together, but I was working solo. Constructed with today's birds in mind, the home bazaar's charming 1920s Dutch colonial home sports its distinctive profile. It's not uncommon to hear it described as a barn house. The double-angled, gambrel roof allowed a complete second story to be built at minimal expense. One infamous Dutch colonial, the Amityville horror house, situated in a suburban neighborhood in long island, new york was the site of a series of mysterious murders. To this day, Amityville residents report paranormal phenomena in and around the house. A hole will allow wrens, finches, chickadees, nuthatches, and titmice to nest. The roof is topped with sturdy pine shingles. Ventilation, drainage, and a removable back wall make this birdhouse as functional as it is spooky.
