5 stars for the bed but unfortunately, the experience took much longer than it should have. Our first delivery arrived incomplete, with only two pieces of wood—more than half of the bed was missing. We had to return it, and a full replacement shipment was sent, which delayed everything, including our assembly (which, of course, we still had to pay for). The new shipment did arrive with all the parts, but we also noticed some chipping and damage on the side. At that point, we decided to keep it because we were tired of going back and forth. I have had other similar beds where the drawers are made of plastic. I am glad that I paid someone to install it because it took a pro more than an hour. The bed is great! The only thing that was frustrating was that it was advertised as the lowest price and had a 24 hour window to get the offer so I took it. The perfect blend of modern and elegant! I recently upgraded to this king platform bed and I couldn't be happier. The craftsmanship is excellent—the drawers glide smoothly and the panels fit together perfectly. One of my favorite features is the pull-out nightstand slides. They are incredibly convenient and keep the room looking tidy since they aren't in the way when not in use. While assembly took me about 7 hours solo, the end result is so sturdy and high-quality that it was well worth the time. Plus, the solid wood slats provide a perfect, stable base for any mattress.
