We spent a couple of hours assembling this bed. It wasn’t difficult if you enjoy following visual diagrams and solving puzzles, which we do, but if you aren’t great at that you might want to just have someone do it for you. It looks like the picture online, but the gray has a more of a yellow undertone than blue, which I didn’t expect. The ONLY complaint I have is the fingerprints in the stain (see photos). What a lovely bed! We have slept on it for the past few nights now, and it seems to be sturdy and of good quality. It holds our Avocado mattress and topper nicely, no box spring needed. I’ve actually slept much better these past few nights, and it seems to be because this bed sits lower to the floor than our previous platform bed. Absolutely wonderful. First off it was packed well and every piece was protected. Secondly the scent was of fresh stain and or finish of poly but is dissipated within an hour. The wood was beautiful and it matched our 1960 end tables perfectly. The instructions were so easy to follow we had it together in an hour. I would say have 2people to put it together. OMG the bed is so well priced. I was really hesitant but I have seen needs in stores and hand crafted furniture stores for similar quality for triple the price. I am really happy with this purchase! We needed a replacement specifically to accommodate a new adjustable base, since our old bed wasn’t compatible.
