Was looking for a basic, attractive platform bed for a new king size mattress we purchased. This fit the bill perfectly. Pretty straightforward to assemble, though I did use my cordless driver with a hex bit to speed things up. But the included allen wrench worked fine. Pay attention to where the washers go so you don't have to reassemble things more than once! It is solid wood, very sturdy. The frame seems pretty lightweight, but the person putting it together said it's sturdy. I ordered this for a guest bedroom, so it won't be getting daily use. I like the roominess under the bed allowed by the height of the bed frame, which makes it good for storage if you're inclined. The 14" tall frame gives about 12" of space under it.
