I have extremely hungry deer who are not picky unfortunately! The only truly effective measure is to wrap my precious trees and plants! Thank God there are some they dislike! I am not always home to sprinkle powder or spray deer repellent which are both effective. I bought ultrasonic lights were effective at first then the deer ignored them. The skunks did not appreciate my efforts though so I had to stop using! I avoided mesh because obvious reasons but it's the only sure proof method for me. This is the second type of mesh I've used. The first was more nylon type material and was a bit challenging to work with but super flexible. I wanted this type again but was unavailable so I went with a different one. This second mesh is stiffer and more of a wire consistency but cuts easily with scissors. I would say it is more for use with stakes. The major problem I had was wrapping things too tightly so be aware it's so easy to do and then it must be loosened. The expandable fence is as described. It seems well constructed and is very easy to put together. I am going to use it to block off an area for my dog. She is smaller so I’ll be adding something at the bottom for the gap, which is not an issue because most moveable fences have a gap at the bottom. I like that these are not super heavy so I can move them into place and put them away easily. I’ll note that I recognize that my dog can push through or knock over the fence because it’s lighter in weight. The bottom arrow of the fixed rod can be inserted into the ground, and the other end is bent to effectively fix the fence. Each panel can be easily connected by interlocking, choosing a location, hammering nails into the ground, and placing fence nails on top.

We ordered this fencing for 2 purposes. We brought it to a river house to block off the only part of the yard that did not have a fence. It was lightweight and quick, easy, and inexpensive to cover that portion of the yard. Wouls be easy to travel with, if needed. We also use it to protect our baby trees and plants. I love that it can be one row high or stacked to be taller. Our basset hound is easily deterred. We just need a visual block and he won't bother with it. We have blueberry bushes that need protection from the birds that visit our yard. We tried using a thin netting that was so difficult to use. This netting is slightly thicker and does not tangle. Great little fence! I needed something to keep a pup out of my vege garden barrels and this was so much easier and better looking than stakes and chicken wire.
