I have been searching for months for the perfect vanity chair for our newly-remodeled master bathroom. The design elements were just as important as functionality to me in this space. As our counter is shaving height (with the vanity just a few inches lower), a standard height seat was too short; I needed one that had adjustable height features that didn't scream "office chair." This Matthias Task Chair is just what I needed. Without arm rests, it pushes in almost flush with the counter so that there's still ample room to walk between the tub and the chair. I like that it has casters so that I'm not sliding wood or metal across my new tile floor. And, I wanted something in blue and chrome, which was not easy to find. I do wish it were a tad bit deeper in the seat, but I'm only in it for about 20-minutes max per day to put on make-up; comfort was not my priority. 6 Years of Daily Use & Kid-Tested! (Great for Desks or Dining) I originally purchased this chair in 2019 for my son’s desk, and it has been used daily for the past six years. I’m honestly impressed by how well the materials have held up. The plastic seat and manufactured wood legs haven't cracked, peeled, or faded at all despite the heavy use. For size reference, it fits an adult or older child comfortably—my son was nearly 6' tall in the earlier photos and used it without an issue. The aesthetic is clean and modern, fitting in well with most decor. Pro-Tip for Hardwood Floors: The only minor issue I had was some slight scratching on my wood floors. I solved this easily by adding some $6 clear 'sock-style' boots with felt bottoms. It now slides perfectly and hasn't left a mark since! As a testament to the durability—even though my younger kids eventually used the seat as a coloring book (see the last photo!), the chair itself remains as sturdy as the day we bought it.
