I am quite pleased with this rustic style lamp. The 3 way bulb function allows me to choose the level of brightness and I favor the highest of 100 watts because I like a bright room. In addition, the base has a 4 watt bulb and the base can be tapped up to 3 times for varying levels of light. There were no instructions in regard to the base light and it wasn’t working when I initially plugged it in. I unscrewed two tiny screws in the base access panel and tightened the inner bulb because it had come loose. My photo shows the 4 watt bulb that was included with the lamp.
