Very happy with the design of this fan. When we moved into this home our upstairs bathroom didn’t have one. Install can be a bit hard since you do have to add a fan duct ( not included ) I would recommend hiring someone if you have never installed one. Happy with the way it works and the look of it.. This is a nice fan!!! The description is not accurate, it has no light. It was not a surprise for me because I got a description from the Broan site using the fan's code AE50110DCS. I had AE50110DC and wanted to replace it with an automatic fan that turns on automatically when humidity is high and works for a specific period of time (it has a timer, a duration is up to 60 min). The fan allows the user to select a speed 50, 80 or 110 CFM. My previous fan (AE50110DC) had a permanent speed of 110. AE50110DCS at 110 makes the same level of noise as AE50110DC at 110. AE50110DCS at 80 is a little bit quieter, just a little bit. Therefore, I selected the speed 50 CFM which is really quiet for me. I set a humidity selector at 70% and a timer at 60 min. I know that for a 4PC bathroom the speed of 50 CFM is not enough but I keep a door to the bathroom open all the time and the fan will run for 60 minutes, then check humidity again and start a new 60-min cycle if humidity is above 70%. I guess it should be enough, time will show. I had a choice to buy a bigger Panasonic fan which is as quiet at 110 CFM as this fan at 50 CFM, but decided to use a fan with the same dimensions as my old one. Nice exhaust fan that we installed in a newly renovated bathroom . It’s quiet enough. One blade on the motor casing turned up broken - not sure if it arrived that way or if it happened during installation . We were able to glue it with super glue and it’s working great - no clicking noise . I wrote to the manufacturer and they sent me a new motor casing . Replaced a 20+ year old (maybe older) 655 unit. This new one was a perfect fit. Size was the exact same, so installation was very easy. We have a small bathroom, so this heats the room very well. I have purchased 3 of these and they are excellent ! I installed 2 in our RV garage and later the other one in our 200 sq ft kitchen. What I have come to understand is, if you get the right amount of them in the area you need it , it will create it's own atmospheric conditions. For instance in our kitchen I can get a nice breeze on a calm day! In the garage, we now have a breezeway into the house through the laundry room!
