I didn’t read about the material. So make sure to read. The chairs are made from recycle plastic. Before knowing I thought it was made of iron or metal. When I took it out the box I was nervous because it feels SO light. I have a big guy and with plastic I was afraid of it bending. But so far so good. It brings a vibe to the room. The A.I. family is growing, with the addition of A.I. stool recycled, a product made from recycled material with a clear focus on comfort thanks to a broad, welcoming seat.

The four chairs arrived on time and look just like the product photos/description overall. Good quality plastic and design, as expected from Kartell. However, the box was torn open during shipping (big hole on one side, packaging foam spilling out), and one of the armrests got quite dirty/smudged with grayish marks and scuffs along the edge. It seems like it rubbed against something rough in transit. I haven’t tried cleaning it yet (was traveling when it arrived), but I’ll attempt with mild soap and a soft cloth first. The Noma collection, designed by Javier Mariscal for the Spanish brand Vondom, is a group of outdoor items. There was an aim to create a new typology of furniture by combining the functions of a flowerpot and an outdoor table, and thus Noma was born, a collection characterized by its originality and versatile nature. By asking the question “how do we sit down?” three different versions arose that could be adapted into three different environments: one for a chill-out scene, low, completed with a very comfortable pouf out of the same collection; another to be used when seated in a chair or armchair, medium; and another for a standing position or when sitting on a stool, high, ideal for the pleasure of enjoying a cup of wine outdoors. The first sketches showed natural shapes, which as the project developed leaned towards more architectural shapes that call to mind a column with a capital or a corbel.
