Artisans who create decorative accessories for the Phillips collection are known for their talents in working with wood. With so many of the unique pieces we produce, we bring a deep appreciation for melding nature and design, just as we have done with our swirl wood sculpture. The curvaceous, organically shaped wood sculpture sits atop a black metal base to bring it the feel of a museum-quality relic. This decorative sculpture reflects the ethos that Phillips collection personifies: modern organic.

Beautiful - and much larger than I had anticipated. Very striking piece. Used for a console table in an entry hall. Have received many compliments.. Brenda. Burbank, IL. Tue Jun 07 2022

A wheel of reclaimed wood, worn into something elemental. The circular form with a hole at its center has an ancient, wheel-like presence, while reclaimed wood gives the Bronte sculpture a history you can read right in the grain. Natural cracks, fissures, and grain developed over years bring an authenticity no new material can copy, set on a simple iron base that lets the disc stand tall. No two will ever match — and that is the whole point.

Interesting materials, designs, and textures are sought out elements in interior design. This unique piece incorporates them all and adds a little history to the story as well. The fish sculpture is entirely made using petrified wood. Petrified wood is a natural occurrence when wood is fossilized. The wood turns to stone over millenniums because it is deprived of oxygen which causes all deteriorating to stop and the minerals to slowly be absorbed. It is an amazing natural process that results in each piece being unique making the authentic charm of the petrified wood part of the design. The natural specimens used in the Petrified Fish are found in Indonesia and hand crafted into many different items from sculpture to jewelry. No mechanical means are used in the creation of the Petrified Fish, the artisans use hand tools and polishing cloths to rub the finished piece to a perfect sheen. Each piece is really a piece of art, bringing nature and warmth to your space while being easily placeable in a variety of design settings. The placement of the Petrified Fish is only limited to your imagination and how you use it.

Holding a gnarled limb in its contemporary grasp, the sleek black iron stand balancing the Vine sculpture creates our favorite juxtaposition, combining modern and organic. We harvest the pieces of wood that end up on these sculptures from the jungles of Asia, using as many pieces of each tree we pull from the forest floor as possible. The Vine sculpture is proof that there is beauty to be made, even with elements most people would see as castaways.

Love this unique piece. Sarah. New York Mills, MN. Tue May 12 2026

A study in contrast and continuity, the Petrified Fracture Table Top Sculpture transforms a moment in time into a timeless statement. Formed from authentic petrified wood, its surface bears the intricate patterns and tonal shifts created over millions of years. The natural split through its center reveals a striking interplay between strength and vulnerability, inviting contemplation on nature’s quiet power. Mounted on a sleek metal base, this piece balances raw organic beauty with refined simplicity, creating an evocative accent for any modern interior.

This beautiful hand-polished petrified wood slice is sourced from Madagascar and has an elegant metal display stand. It has a fantastic pattern with vibrant brown, yellow, and orange hues. Fossilized petrified wood, which is also known as agatized wood, forms when a tree has died and silicon dioxide forms in place of the wood - that degrades until there is no wood left, only quartz. All of the organic matter becomes replaced by minerals, while much of the original structure, such as tree rings, is retained. The rainbow of colors is produced by impurities in the quartz, such as iron, carbon, and manganese. Most petrified wood on earth can be from 50 to 500 million years old.

This decorative design is a mosaic comprised of black and white petrified wood. This textured disk, which naturally varies in appearance, comes mounted on a black metal stand. The Radian design is perfect for adding a sculptural element to a living room or study.

These were exactly what I was looking for to balance my buffet table. The wood is solid and not cheap. The base is sturdy and strong.. Chris. Sun Feb 01 2026

Erosion is a fascinating process in which wood and stone are broken down over time and relocated by the invisible hand of mother nature herself. When the wood begins to erode, it can develop into unbelievably captivating shapes that defy imagination. Phillips Collection erosion sculpture on the stand is a recreation of this natural phenomenon that demonstrates the unique forms wood can take when introduced to the elements. Constructed from teak wood in a bleached finish, the erosion sculpture is mounted to a matte black iron stand that gives this piece a splash of modern flair.
