The scratching post is sturdy and the carpet decent quality. I was disappointed that the sisal wasn't rope but rather a sisal-type fabric. It doesn't look the same as the picture online. Now I'm wondering if I received the correct item.... Ellen. East Taunton, MA. Tue May 31 2022

Cactus Cat Scratching Post, Cat Scratcher with Sisal Rope and Interactive Hanging Ball, 19.9 Inch Scratching Post for Indoor Cats and Kitten

This is a cute little scratching post, but I was expecting it to be a bit larger. It is sturdy enough that I don’t believe my cat will be able to knock it over while playing or sharpening her claws. One thing I’m not crazy about is the sisal being on the bottom of the post. It is quite thin and looks like the old school yarn they would give you in an eighth grade Home Ec class. As long as it stays attached and doesn’t fray too quickly I’m OK with it. I like the texture of the cactus, (if you will), and the fact that it’s rubbery and flexible. My cat has already owned it. She walked right up and put her scent all over it. The scratching post came quickly and was delivered at my home, not in its usual place and with a few dents in the box but overall handled professionally. I would recommend this to a friend with a smaller cat as it is a decent value for a cute post that appears not to knock over easily. I had it assembled in 30 seconds lol. Leslie A. Quakertown, PA. 4 stars for the price - but you get what you pay for here. It was deeply discounted when I purchased. The product itself isn’t bad the tension rod isn’t super secure but it’s stayed in place so far and boy! are our cats stress testing it! We’ve adjusted the height which may also contribute to the little wobbliness. All in all, good product for the cost Update we’ve had this tree for just shy of a month and the post are falling apart! We have three cats so it does get a lot of use but yikes! We’ll need to buy some twine or something and re-wrap it.. Anonymous. Wed Jul 29 2026

I have yet to discover whether I can train my cat to use this, but I will say it is a nice and solidly constructed piece. I found the written assembly instructions daunting and somewhat confusing - with illustrations assigning letters to parts that didn’t align. The QR code to the assembly video didn’t exactly inspire great confidence since the first few moments showed the person assembling it struggling to get parts together! But I managed to figure it out and am so far happy with the purchase.. Anne. Arlington, VA. Tue Oct 20 2026

This is a twist on the tradition of cat vs. dog. Wouldn't your cat like to have his revenge by getting cozy with The Dachshund Scratcher? All of The Scratchers include a bag of pure all-natural catnip. You cannot fight the natural instinct of a cat to keep his claws honed, so give him a healthy alternative. The texture of the Scratching Pad is unlike any other texture in your home. It is not carpeted, like your floors. It is not covered in any kind of nubby material that could be similar to your couch upholstery. Your cat will not be confused as to what he should and should not scratch. Your cat can feel that this unique surface is his very own personal place to scratch.
