This is a very nice cat shelter for the feral cat that has moved into my yard . Very simple to assemble, sturdy and looks like it will hold up in the Midwest weather. We love this dog house. We have a 110 pound German shepherd who prefers being outside. I never grew up with an outdoor dog so I was extremely hesitant to move him full time to our backyard, but this dog house made it an easier choice. He’s super happy and so are we. One thing to note is the installation is very tricky. We thought we could do it ourselves but we ended up paying someone 700 to build it for us. Love this little cathouse! My husband and I built a deck to elevate the house for our two stray cats. They haven’t gone inside yet, but have been up on the deck to eat and check out the house. Surprisingly sturdy- it was easy and straightforward to assemble it, I didn’t use their tools but my own to make a quicker set up. The only tricky part was trying to assemble it on top of the gate which is a little bit hard to line up and secure but once it was on - I think it will hold, this could be a great cover for chickens too but I’m using it for the horses and hope they will use it.
