Now is your chance to own an authentic work of art. Skilled artisans have been producing fine carpets for centuries completely by hand. As modern technology progresses, however, such fine works of art are becoming rarer every day. Starting with the finest of hand-spun material, each row of knotting is hand-tied to the warp strings on a loom with meticulous detail. Several steps of washing by hand add a rich patina and even more luster to the already soft wool. Once sheared by hand to a plush pile, each piece is then finished with a hand whipped edge surging.

Stunning rug!! I was a little hesitant to get this rug because rugs are hard to photograph accurately. It did not disappoint! The rug arrived neatly packaged, and the red has minimal shedding. The colors are classy and match the pictures exactly.. Cristina. Arlington, VA. Fri Aug 21 2026

This modern area rug is inspired by the nomads of Iran's Zagros Mountains, who originally wove Gabbeh rugs to keep warm on cold winter nights. Hand-knotted from a blend of wool and cotton, this brown neutral features subtle color variations and geometric motifs that add a touch of bohemian allure to your space. Its sumptuous pile is especially inviting in bedrooms, where you can pamper your bare feet. We recommend pairing this rug with a rug pad to keep it in place and help it lay flat.

The rug is simply awesome! It's unique pattern and soft luxury of wool/cotton fabric is unbeatable. It looks expensive and stylish, and to my surprise it doesn't shed as much as my other wool rugs. Great buy!. Olga. Vancouver, WA. Wed Apr 29 2026

Its elegant border detailing lends a refined touch to any room, while the washable construction ensures effortless care and lasting beauty. Transform your home into a sanctuary of sophistication and comfort, because your floors deserve nothing less than enduring quality and impeccable style.

The rug looked to be a much cooler toned rug in the photos and the review photos but is much more warm toned in person. May return because I was looking for a cool toned rug to replace a current blue rug. It is soft and the print is as is in photos.. Brooke. Us, United States. Tue Sep 15 2026

The vintage rugs that inspired this piece were originally handwoven in the ancient city of Khotan and designed with wave and fret patterns or flowering vines along the borders. This take is made from a soft wool/cotton blend in neutral earth tones with an intricate motif that's been modernized, yet still seems to speak a story all its own. Following a technique and tradition dating back thousands of years, each hand-knotted rug can take two to three master weavers five to six weeks to complete, depending on the size and intricacy of each rug. Every hand-knotted rug is designed to wear beautifully over time, making them heirlooms to be passed down for generations.

I’m very happy with the quality of the Four Hands Cortona Hand Knotted Oriental Area Rug in Olive, but the color and overall appearance are a bit different from the website photo. Online, the rug appears lighter and more distinctly olive, with a softer, more muted look. In person, mine reads noticeably darker and richer—more of a deep brown/olive—with stronger contrast in the cream detailing. That said, the deeper coloring works beautifully in my room and gives the rug a warm, substantial, old-world feel. The pattern is attractive and detailed, and the quality is very good. It also looks great against light stone floors and neutral walls. I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 mainly because the website photo doesn’t fully capture the actual color. Four Hands should really consider offering a swatch service for their rugs, because it’s extremely difficult to judge subtle colors like olive, brown, taupe, and cream accurately online. A small sample would make choosing with confidence much easier. Overall, it’s a beautiful, well-made rug with lots of character—just be prepared for the color to appear darker in person than it does online.. Sandra. Delray Beach, FL. Sun Oct 04 2026

The rug is exactly as pictured and the colors work well for my dining room. There are more green tones than blue, which shows as very light blue.. Susan. Centerville, MA. Fri Sep 11 2026

I was so afraid buying something off the web but I really like the colors in the rug. In the photo the light color looks white but it is off white which I am very happy with. Kathy. Parkton, MD. Tue Aug 18 2026

Subtle tone-on-tone stripes give the Solid collection a depth and sophistication all its own. These rugs can pull the disparate elements of a room into a beautifully cohesive whole; they can also introduce an unexpected but welcome jolt of color into an otherwise neutral space. Handcrafted by skilled artisans, they will stand up to heavy traffic for years while maintaining their elegance.

Perfect for my dining room. It is not a light gray background, as described, but a very pretty light blue and the whole rug is light and cheery, which is what I was going for.. Kate. Yarmouth, ME. Sat Oct 03 2026

This Oriental area rug delivers a vintage-inspired look to your indoor space with its purposeful, worn distressing. It's hand-knotted from a blend of wool and viscose, which provides a soft surface that features a subtle sheen. The rectangular form is supported by a cotton backing, creating a reliable foundation for your furniture. Since it's safe for heated floors, it's a practical choice for keeping your main bedroom cozy. The faded pattern adds a sense of history without being overwhelming. We also love how the mixed fibers offer a layer of comfort underfoot. We recommend pairing this piece with a rug pad to prevent slipping.
