Peel And Stick Tile For Tub Surround

Luxury shower surrounds at an affordable price for the DIY enthusiast are available in pre-cut kits for common shower wall sizes. These panels are lightweight and easy to carry, cut, and fabricate. Cutting can be done with a skilled saw, angle grinder, jigsaw, etc. To fabricate, you can use a Dremel tool, miter, etc. We suggest using Locktite PowerGrab adhesive or Boss 125 adhesive to adhere panels to the walls, but compatibility with the other substrates might need testing. We suggest applying the adhesive to the panel, applying circle blobs of caulking about 6"–8” apart throughout the sheet. We also suggest applying 100% silicone, about a ¼” thick continuous silicone bead around the panel, about ½” from the edge, to ensure a good edge seal and prevent moisture or debris from getting behind the panel.

I love these tiles!! My mantel had an empty gap that always bothered me. They are easy to work with and cut, I used an angle grinder and it worked great. I did score the tiles with a glass cutter and I also taped the tiles where I needed to grind to. I didn’t want to do too much cutting so I used a peel and stick Moulding to fill in the little gap at the bottom. The photos don’t do it justice, they are very iridescent. I highly recommended them!. Aside from shipping issues these tiles are great. They are strong and forgiving of less than desirable walls. Watch the videos and do exactly as they say and installation with be quick and smooth. I used these for my bathtub surround and being 68 doing it alone I was able to do it all myself. I did it in two days mostly because I was hesitant about doing it around the water lines. my plumbing hadn't been touched since at least the 50s and had longer bigger pipes than today. Cutting and drilling out the holes was never a problem. I will say though using a utility knife for anything other than trimming edges is difficult. Luckily I had a small table saw that worked great. If you don't have that I would invest in a hacksaw and you'll be fine.. Doreen. Erie, PA. Mon Sep 09 2024

It turned out beautiful. I just hope it holds up and stays. I added spray gorilla glue to back for extra hold. Take in consideration the cut loss you will have. I’d order one more box than you think. If you have any tiny gaps that white show through, you can use a black paint pen and touch up. Would be nice if the backing was black so that wouldn’t be an issue. I’m probably the only one who would notice though. I also left protective film on until I was done applying to wall and touching up with pen. That way no sticky glue or paint goes where it isn’t wanted. Goof off will remove any sticky spots that may get on outside. I used a cut Matt and fabric roller cutter. It worked the best for straight lines. Exacto knife for outlets and any zig zags.. Anonymous. Benkelman, NE. Sat Mar 18 2023
