I used one panel and cut it in 3 sections. The bad thing is you can see the seams but I tried to hide them with the shelves and decorations. The paneling holds with a nail gun but the shelves held it on better. The paneling is too heavy to hang when it's one piece. It's important to note that with this design, the center square goes above the ceiling grid vs. sitting below it, so this is perfect for my application as the basement in my home is quite low in some areas where there is duct work, allowing me to optimize head space versus other designs that droop below the ceiling grid. Exceeded my expectations by far. Painted and then dry brushed with one shade lighter to accentuate the damask pattern. I did put a few seams too tight initially, but that’s my fault for expecting more shrinkage. Definitely don’t cut/trim when wet. I used the paste the wall method which worked WAY better than the manufacturer directions as the paper soaks up paste and tears easily if it gets too wet - paste the wall made this a non-issue. Super easy to align and very little waste. I o ended up with extra (thought I’d have more waste than we did!) and now have to find another place to use it because it came out just perfectly! Very impressed! These shiplap panels are great quality, real wood. Super easy to install, but I will caution, make sure it’s where you want it because the adhesive strips are no joke. I was thinking I maybe needed to reinforce with nails, but when I ripped the coating off the Sheetrock, I figured it was fine. lol they look amazing and I like that they are thinner than traditional shiplap.
