Very well wrapped, almost too much, making it a bit of a pita to get them all out of the box to inspect. I have no idea what one will do with all of the cloth bags that came with the set. Only time will tell how durable these pans really are. Aesthetically they are really nice to look at. The glass lids are on the lighter side. I am concerned about how the gold trim will wear or tarnish overtime, even if hand washing, but more importantly from wear in a dishwasher. these pans are absolutely perfect. the quality seems to be very high, they are sturdy and the coating seems safe. they do come unassembled and you have to screw on the handles, but it comes with probably the best screwdriver i have ever had for it. i am very happy with these and can cook pancakes, grilled cheese, etc with no issues of burning or sticking, and cleaning them after is very easy.
