The item arrived well packaged and installation was relatively easy. The very last part of install was the light and there were two male connections instead of a male female, but just cut the end off and hardwired it not a big deal. I got this as an open box item and it was in perfect new condition! The instructions weren’t as clear, so I found a YouTube video of a similar fan. When attaching the blade part, make sure to turn the piece COUNTER CLOCKWISE to tighten instead of the usual clockwise. This fan is wonderful, we highly recommend it. It was very easy to install. The colors are closer to a red burgundy than brown in person, and the tops of the fans are a weird yellow color. Decent fan for the price. Instructions were very basic without a great deal of detail. Had to do some research on the web to clarify wiring questions. But, all in all, assembly was not difficult and the fan seems to be quiet and has several speed andlighting modes. Remote is useful. Tips: 1. If your outlet has red, black, and white wires, only the black and white are connected to fan; cap the red with a wire nut. 2. Green and yellow wire on bracket connects to ground. 3. You may need to replace two existing screws on motor with longer screws in order to secure the ceiling cover. 4. A flat screw driver set is very helpful in securing those two screws because the space between the cover and motor housing is tight. 5. Some bolt holes were too small for the bolts supplied.
