The product can serve as a table in the sense that you can put a plate down on it. This modern-style one, for example, is of outdoor treated fabric, in a chevron print, and filled with recycled polystyrene beads.

I love the height for this as a footrest. It is smaller and more compact than I thought it would be which could be a bonus if you have a smaller deck or patio. I was looking forward to getting a foot resthassock that would hold my feet level while sitting due to ankles swelling, this DOES that. It arrived fast and the insert was compressed in a baggie. It swells fast! I tried putting and zipping it into its cover and had a heck of a time. The corners of the foot rest are not filled in and overall its quite lumpy.
