There were three people putting up the gazebo and it took about five hours. It did fit together very well and instructions are ok. There is a mistake in the manual. There are 8 G1 parts, not 4 which it says on page 10. Also the picture of G1 on page 6 and 10 is incorrect. There are 2 pictures of G1 on page 10 and the other picture is correct. I put the curtains on and we didn’t quite understand how the Velcro tabs should go so that added time. After a few days I took the curtains down as I don’t think we will ever close them. Delighted! I received the pergola quickly! It was shipped in 4 different boxes and the packaging was awesome! No damaged pieces! Great price and fits my needs. Well, I have now assembled the pergola and did have some damaged pieces (see pictures) I don’t think these pieces were damaged in shipping… seems like they may have come that way from the manufacturer. In any event, I am still happy with the end result. Assembly would be a bit easier with some written instructions to accompany the photos but with patience we were able to figure it out. Love it, my son in law put it up. It was larger than what I thought which was a great thing. Good quality, great product. Great material, strong, well made. Stood up to a mid west winter and nasty winds. Now the neighbors on the hill behind us cant see on our patio doors any more and it keeps the hot sun out of the house. We had a major blizzard this winter and I lost a gazebo and a pop-up canopy in the blizzard .The gazebo was over my back deck and I was looking for something to replace that temporarily, but I didn’t want one similar to the pop-up canopy I had in the yard because that thing completely crumbled under the snow. When I saw this, I thought this will work. It looked sturdier than the pop-up canopy and while I wanted a hard top gazebo. I don’t know exactly what I want so I figured this would work and then if I decided to do something on the deck, I could move this into the yard. It came shipped in one box. Everything was rattling around. I was concerned that it would be pieces missing because the delivery service (which I won’t mention, but we all know who it is) lost it in transit and eventually found it and delivered it .The box was beat up but everything was in it .My original plan for this was to take the the soft top off in the winter so I wouldn’t have another issue of collapse if we get heavy, heavy snow like that again. That will NOT be happening. . And here is why .The assembly of the frame was pretty straightforward. Everything is clearly labeled. It was relatively simple. It took two of us about an hour and a half give or take. So that was not an issue. When it came to putting the soft top on, that is a COMPLETELY different story. Everything went on great until be got to the very last corner. We couldn’t get it over the last edge to save our lives. We tried everything. We tried pulling ,we tried 2 sides at once ,we even unhooked two of the poles that were already assembled trying to get it on. It was an absolute nightmare. My neighbor ( who is a handyman) was helping and he was so mad. We eventually got it on. I don’t know how we did it without ripping but we did it finally ..So now that it’s on. It’s nice and tight. I don’t see any problems with sagging because it’s so tight but I’m telling you putting the canopy top on is just awful. The instructions didn’t give any helpful hints so I read some of the reviews giving some ideas to how to do it and none of that worked for us. We literally had to unassemble two poles and put the canopy over the edge of that and then try and get the polle in. I was very worried about ripping or bending , but I was at the point where I just wanted it done it didn’t care. We had to pull like you would not believe it wasn’t simple in any way shape or form It’s up. It’s great. I love it now that it up It looks fantastic but I will NOT be taking the top off . I love this gazebo! Unfortunately my previous Wayfair gazebo collapsed due to the tremendous amount of snow and ice we received early in January. I should have removed the canopy, but have not been removing it in past years. Id simply go out with a long push broom and gently lift up each section to allow the snow to fall off. This storm was different. Lesson learned. Unfortunately, its tough to buy a canopy that includes the ribbing that holds it together and atop the frame. Wayfairs customer service department used the replacement canopy I had purchased then returned and applied it as a credit to my account. I then quickly found an open box gazebo, that in my opinion is of better quality. I was eager to get it up, despite the windy weather here in Quakertown PA, but its up and anchored to my concrete patio acquiring plants, comfy chairs and tables, garden decor, etc. (mostly everything purchased at Wayfair, of course)!. This gazebo is fantastic. It took my husband and a friend about 5 days to put it together. They worked about 5 hours every and the last day was just getting the fit on the patio and drilling the holes into the concrete to get it set and then hanging the screens and curtains. They did a great job and my husband followed the instructions fairly easy, as he was in construction and used to reading drawings, so it wasn't hard for him. Everything went together as it should have. I think one screw hole was out of alignment, so he made a new one. Other than that he had no problems putting it together. We love the size of it, its double of what one gazebo normally is. Gives us plenty of space for furniture and a fire table, and still room to add an eating table which I have not purchased yet. We love its wind resistance too. We get some crazy winds in the desert, sometimes 60+ mph, and we've since had just a couple days like that, and we have found it to hold up just great! You do hear a little rattle with that kind of wind, but not much. Its solidly in the ground and the parts are solid, holding together well. Can't beat this gazebo for its sturdiness and beauty. Function is awesome and I know in the summer we'll be able to close the curtains when the sun starts beating in any direction, and screens if the flies show up while eating.
