We were looking for smaller appetizer or desert plates that went with our other plates and bowls. These are just a bit smaller than our salad plates, so they can also fill in for a few broken ones. These dishes are gorgeous and quite heavy. They seem to be hand made, as the bowls are not all the exact same shape. Not a problem for me, and they are solid and feel high quality.
