ugh, real wood perhaps, but with a FAKE woodgrain "print" that appears to be pressure rolled onto the wood. the mismatched grain pattern really stands out on top of the existing wood as the faux grain texture streaks right through knots and doesn't line up with the natural grain of the wood.
