I purchased these chairs to furnish a patio of a home I recently purchased. I like the style of the chairs, and they seem quite sturdy and durable from my short time with them. I think these chairs, for patio furniture, are comfortable to sit on for a decent length of time. Of course, if the chairs had cushioning, they would be more comfortable, but for me, a cushion would detract from the chair style and would not add a tremendous amount of comfort. I have been looking for bistro chairs for at least two years. I needed 8 chairs so I needed to keep the cost down per chair but I wanted them to "look" more expensive. The wood and shape had to be the right color and style. Also, I wanted the weave not to be a big checkerboard pattern which to me looks a bit cheap. This chair is perfect. I love the tight weave, the wood color and the chair's style , which makes it look like look like a much more expensive chair. And it is comfortable to sit in.
