This is a nice piece, but it is a little lower quality than I had hoped. Had a narrower space in my living room where I wanted to be able to both store some items behind closed doors and display some items behind glass. This item had the right dimensions and features to do just that. Assembly was time consuming, but straightforward. The bottom board was damaged in transportation. I am using it as an exterior door from a breezeway into my garage. It is perfect to keep the door shut when I have the dog in there with me. It's only 1 3/8 thick and pine, so you are getting what you pay for. I took it to a door shop to have the holes drilled for the lock sets, and for the hinges. As a side note, we paid to have someone assemble it, thinking it would be very difficult. While it may have been, the people who came were spectacular. They arrived on time when they said they would, started immediately, and had it assembled perfectly in just under one hour. They were professional, but very friendly. Looks great, sturdy, but overengineered in some places while underengineered in others. The good part: 1) Looks great 2) Lots of storage space 3) Can move shelves around to create bigger/smaller spaces The bad: 1) Assembly took forever. I don't understand why you need three screws for each hinge door and then three additional screws to attach to the side panel for EACH hinge. Two is the standard for a reason. 2) Don't understand why most of the screws are black, the door stoppers are brown, and the magnets and door screws are silver. We had an OLD TV cabinet we were using as pantry storage, but it got damaged and needed a replacement piece. Criteria: had to fit the microwave (21x16x12"). Arrived within a week and all pieces were inside the box with no damage. Yes, there are a lot of components, but the instructions are easy to follow. Took me about 5 hours to assemble, no headaches. I did need help, though, to lift the top portion to secure it to the bottom piece. I did assemble the back piece "upside down" to accommodate the plug location on our microwave, but it would have worked either way. Wow, does this thing fit so much! It is very spacious and sturdy, and I think the swing-out door is fun. The only disappointment I had were the feet. I was expecting the piece to sit on four legs as shown online (which was another reason we chose it), but the side panels do sit on the floor. Did everyone else in the house mind about this?
