This really is a beautiful rug, it does say that it’s washable but the size I got is way too large so I will not be able to wash it in a standard machine. I put mine in the guest room, which is not used on a frequent basis and the door is shut, so the animals cannot get in the color combination is extremely appealing. Exactly what I wanted. Excellent packaging. It was wrapped around a hard tube, wrapped in easily removable plastic, and the ends were packaged with cardboard. The color is purple with lavender and green. I have a gripper pad underneath. It’s easy to vacuum with the roller beaters on as well. It’s not soft if you walk barefoot but I wasn’t going for soft. The first large area rug I’ve purchased that didn’t need a long time to settle. Just the very end needs a few more days. The pictures were taken immediately after I put it down.
