The document organizer was relatively easy to assemble. The only tool necessary was a hammer to hammer in the back panels. The back panels do need to be hammered in however. I left mine off initially because I wanted to make the document organizer accessible from both sides and it was pretty wobbly. I like that the shelves can be arranged however you want, making this organizer very customizable to your needs. Overall, this is a great product for organizing your documents!
