While this is a very nice Chenille Chaise Lounge, it is not an oversized chair. It looks wide because it has white arms. The sitting area is that of a normal chair. Great chair that is firm in terms of support, yet soft in terms of cushion. Most options seem to have firm cushions, which I didn’t want in a reading chair because I wanted it to also double as a napping spot. The swivel side table, charging ports, cup holders, adjustable back for relaxing or to convert into a sleeper, and storage in the arm rests and main part of the chair make this a great lounge chair for small spaces. The room is small and this chair is perfect without taking over the whole room—I’m still able to fit 5 book cases, a small rocking chair, and a large side table with this chair in the same space with room to spare. A Belgian Malinois and an adult fit in this perfectly, and we’ve inadvertently taken a nap on it while the human was reading because it’s so comfy. I wish it came in a navy blue, but the gray is nice and will probably hide the dog hair. Other than assembly directions and parts labeling being easier to follow, there are no complaints!
