It assembled fine, but the width on the inside of the unit was not enough to go over my HE side by side units. We got it to work, but couldn’t put the last crossmember on the bottom as we stretched it to fit. Hopefully once we actually use the washing machine and dryer, the shelving unit doesn’t shake, rattle and roll away, as we pushed the units together as close as we could.. Anonymous. Fri Aug 07 2026

We have a small mudroom that doubles as our laundry space, and the tops of our washer and dryer had turned into a clutter magnet for pet supplies, winter gear, and all the random extras that don’t have a home. With windows on both walls, traditional shelving wasn’t an option. After researching a ton of over-the-washer racks, we landed on this one. It’s definitely more expensive than some others, but it’s also noticeably sturdier. Many of the alternatives we looked at were plastic or were too small for our machines. This one feels solid and has completely transformed how functional the space is. We removed the X-brace on the back to give our washer a little more clearance, and it’s still very stable.. Keira. I have a small space in my small apartment to fit a small washer dryer. I’m handicapped so I have to be very careful what I choose but this over the washer shelf is perfect to put my small dryer on that weighs about 65 pounds empty. My only complaint is the instructions putting this together is so confusing! I have some carpentry skills and have been putting furniture together for years. I’ve never seen anything like that. The majority of instructions is just how to mount the rack to the top of the unit and then like one picture to finish it. It’s so confusing! They need someone to edit that and translate it better. My friend and I were ready to pull our hair out, but we got it put together and I love it. It serves its purpose. just so everyone knows the rack does not slide in all the way in it does protrude from the front so you did not put it together wrong. I hope that helps a little bit..
