Naturally charred finish and each log are individually cut, milled, charred, and then polished. This curing process helps extend the life of the wood by preventing mold and mildew, insect infestation, and rendering them fire resistant. All the logs are pre-checked to prevent further cracking from the natural expansion and contraction that occurs with weather changes. They are then sealed with a clear coat of varnish for a glossy finish. To extend the life of your product, and protect the charred finish, please use in a covered space.

Do you dream of having your very own porch swing, but do not have enough space to accommodate one? This porch swing is just the right size for a small porch, a tree, or most anywhere. It will give you the luxury of a porch swing, without having to give up your porch. Made with contoured seat slats and a high back, this will be one of the most comfortable wooden chair swings you will ever sit in. It can be left alone to weather to a silvery gray or finished with a quality penetrating oil finish. Many or most of the logs will have cracks. These cracks are called "checks". Checking will occur when the logs dry and the cells shrink, causing the wood to split. This does not weaken the wood and is considered part of the natural rustic beauty of cedar. Cedar is naturally resistant to decay and insect damage, allowing you to enjoy this piece for many years.
