Structure, height, and timeless garden appeal. The GA87 Garden Arbor adds definition and character to any outdoor space. Whether placed at the entrance to a garden path, over a walkway, or as a focal point in your yard, it creates a natural frame that draws the eye and elevates your landscape. Crafted from FSC certified Western Red Cedar, this arbor is naturally resistant to decay and insects, built to withstand the elements while aging beautifully over time. Precision-cut components and snug-fitting parts ensure a strong, stable structure, while the smooth sanded finish gives it a clean, refined appearance. Perfect for supporting climbing vines, roses, or decorative lighting, the GA87 blends classic design with dependable durability.

The packaging and quality of the cedar is very good. Like Teal, of Pomona, NY stated in their review: it’s a box of wood and bag of hardware and some very simplistic instructions. As a prolific builder and DIYfer I used my experience in assembling the arch. Fortunately, I have a pneumatic brad nailer with galvanized brads which made short time in nailing the many pieces together. I did not follow the slat spacing suggestions from the directions, rather having read the reviews, I made my own jig spacers after careful measurements. Pros: Good quality cedar; Looks excellent when completed; Assembly is straight forward once you figure out the spacing; Left unfinished the cedar will gracefully weather Cons: Directions need embellishment; Not for those wanting a quick assembly; Took over 6 hours to complete; Nails provided are not galvanized and should be of an outside product; Only 2 decorative wooden “arrows”---should be 4 for two on each side; Added longer and beefier exterior screws at the top/side joints for more strength. Your Gate Your Way. Unlimited Design Possibilities to show off your gate, not your frame. Patented low-profile, sag-free design, and intuitive installation - Just add wood!

I bought this gate kit at the beginning of summer and finally got it done! It was super easy to assemble i highly recommend watching the video instructions they helped a lot. Im not an experienced carpenter so it was super helpful. It took about 2 hours from start to finish and looks great! I ordered 2 more to make a driveway gate to match the fence we built too. Very happy with this product. My one complaint is they shorted us about 15 black screws and I had to use gray ones that I had to complete it fully. Again shorted 10 screws for 2 kits that I bought for the driveway gate. Still it looks great. I had to orient my gate hardware differently because im adding wheels and wanted solid wood on the side wheels will be attached to. i dont mind seeing the hardware on the opposite side. I like the way that looks as well the hardware is so attractive. Im happy with this, easy to assemble, product. Anonymous. Portland, ME. Wed Sep 17 2025

This garden gate, featuring a perfect combination of strength and elegance, makes an ideal entry point for the fence around your garden or patio.

I bought two gates and they look fabulous.. . Very easy assembling. Just need someone's help to hold the pieces, otherwise any adult can assemble it. Got all the nuts and Allan keys for assembling, but i used another key for easy handling. Be careful when handling it as it is very easy to get scratches. Very nice gate . All my neighbours were so impressive on the designs... There are few bits to highlight for the improvement of the future products. 1) Some parts (Poles) were not finished well as there were some dents (un even surfaces - bit bad finishing) 2) The lock tongue direction is wrong. we usually open the gate to inside and the tongue direction should be the other way round which we cannot simply adjust with rotating the panels, etc, because of the design. 3) Do further more designs, So will have unique design for most customers... Very easy to assemble. You will need a helper to attach the arch to the posts. Only one minor issue. Where the bottom hinge attaches to the rail, two adjacent screws conflicted with one another. Remedied by using one shorter screw. Absolutely love this gated arbor and highly recommend it.. Roland. Honesdale, PA. Sun Sep 13 2026

Beautiful gate! I’m still installing it. It’s missing a screw for the latch, so that’s a trip to the hardware store. The posts in the ground are very short so I will need to pour cement for it to be stable. Good price for a Plow and Hearth product. FYI-Their items usually need protective coats against rust.. Easy to assemble and install and comes with a 1-year warranty. Tools Required: Cordless Drill, Level, Stool/short Ladder, Shovel, Cement for permanent in-ground installation Approx. Time Commitment: 1 person, 2-3 hours.

The arbor is beautiful and strong. I gave it 4 stars because there is an issue. The lattice is made of very thin cedar (less than 1/4 of an inch) and it is stapled together. A few or the staples came loose during assembly and will need to be redone. I am considering adding stronger cedar boards on the sides to strengthen it. At this price point, I think the manufacturer should have used stronger wood for the lattice. There were also a few bumps and marks, but these were minor. I love the assembly service that Wayfair provided. The handyman was great. He was on timely, proficient and sensitive to my needs.. Judy. Maryland. Sun Aug 09 2026
