The trellis arrived yesterday and the box was damaged. So my husband and I opened it carefully and just the three legs ( the part that goes into the ground were bent. I have not had a chance to call Wayfair yet, or even see if it will go in the ground and stand straight. I sure hope it does, because otherwise it looks very nice and appears well made. My husband and I were both surprised about the bent legs because the material it is made of seems hefty! Keep your fingers crossed it goes in the ground and stands straight because otherwise I love it! It went in the garden and looks great! Got two of these in WHITE; I have some white trellis dividing my yard/garden and decided adding one each to either "end" of the trellis work would extend the effect without actually doing so. It did that. I have been looking at this type of planter for years and always found them costly and couldn't quite commit. I was still wavering when I saw these; put them in my "wish list" and forgot about them until they went on sale. Then I jumped at the chance. They were very easy to assemble, although they are rather large and cumbersome, but not overly so. The top lattice piece lifts off for access to the planter box. They have a removable tray with drainage holes at bottom. I recommend these...unless you can afford the $1200 ones. NOTE: One thing I must note: when my husband and I were unpacking the pieces (4 lattice sides, 4 planter sides, planter bottom tray, lattice crown and adjustable round finial) I noticed all these "chips" on the paint, I assumed they were banged and flaked off during shipping/packaging. After they were assembled I looked closer to check out the damage & to gauge how much "touching up" I would need to do. To my surprise the "chips" were actually dark metallic gray paint! Trellis arrived earlier than expected. The trellis was packaged very nicely and in good condition. The trellis was very easy to put together. But word of caution, there is a front and back to the trellis. I was very impressed with myself for installing it so fast and admired my handiwork for a couple of days until my planter arrived. After I installed my planter and positioned my trellis in the planter I saw that I had installed it incorrectly. When I saw this, I thought how nice it would be -- a single planter with its own trellis/case, and it rolls, so if needed we can quickly move it in case of a bad storm, etc. It was fairly easy to put together, even with the non-textual instructions. Pictures are ok, but they don't always give the complete advice. I had trouble with the cage portion - you use the smaller rods for the horizontal pieces, and the longer ones for the vertical. In the end, we were left with a mismatched number and could not build the top layer. That's ok - I can't imagine this going higher! Beautiful!! Light weight and very easy to assemble. If you’re a beginner on assembly of products this would be no problem. I have vining tropical flowers I move outside in the summer and inside in the winter in a sun room. Iowa winter is no place for tropical flowers! This will make moving my plants so much simpler and easier. This is pretty light so it should be fairly easy for my boyfriend and I to move around as the seasons change.
