We attached this to 4x4’s and filled with gravel. It is a sweet little place, but I do wish I’d picked a bigger one!! It does need to be caulked to keep the panels in place. It is great once you get it together. The directions are not good. I think who ever created the directions needs to put one together to improve them. It takes a lot of time to put together. I researched the greenhouses available online for a long time and felt the quality of reviews for this product and the price point were the best. I was right. When we received the shipment it felt a bit overwhelming but taking it step by step was the key. The 3D Bilt App was great. The instructions were written really well. It was impressive. The key was to seal the wood and take inventory first. Then organize by part number. My mom and I built the majority of it but needed help lifting some of the roof parts. The estimate of 2 days with 2 people is ridiculous. It took a week just to stain and organize everything. If you work during the week expect to spend 3-4 long weekends to get the project done. We’re really happy with this greenhouse overall. The size is perfect—not too overwhelming, but still big enough to actually do something with. It feels like a great starter option if you’re getting into gardening without wanting to go all-in on something massive or super expensive. Assembly was definitely the biggest challenge. My husband put it together on his own (which… respect), but he said having a second person would make a huge difference—and honestly, even a third if you want it done quickly. That said, the instructions were clear and easy to follow, and all the parts were really well organized in the boxes, which helped a lot. Most of the hiccups were just from doing it solo. The only minor issue we’ve noticed is the door—it was pretty snug at first. We think one of the wood pieces may have been slightly bowed, but it’s already starting to loosen up and work better the more we use it. We love the look of it, and it feels like a solid setup for the price. It also didn’t feel overwhelming to prep the base (we did gravel), which was a big plus. Overall, I’d definitely recommend this for a first greenhouse—especially if you’ve got the space and want to start a larger garden without overcomplicating things.
