I gave 4 stars mostly for my own fault. the table is pretty narrow. My own bad for not seeing just how narrow it is. Its just wide enough for 2 dinner plates to be across from each other. With 2 people sitting on the ends and 4 people around the table (2 on each side) there is barley enough room for plates and glasses, no extra room for serving platters. This is an excellent, heavy duty picnic table. The assembly was fairly straight forward, taking about 2 hours for two people to assemble while another one read the directions and guided them.
