This thing is amazing! I would prefer the option to have a softer yellow tone light in addition to the bright white, but it fits my needs. Needed a light out near the chicken coop/run but too far from nearest electrical feed to run anything permanent. This fits the bill. I have it on the mode where the light stays on low but comes on bright when approached or when it signals motion from a predator. Lights up the area very well for night time feeding/cleaning activities. I will remove the water from base and replace with sand before winter. Only thing I would change would be an option for an off/motion on mode rather than just low light/bright motion. Love that we can put it anywhere we need more light.. Robert. Leroy, OH. Just opened box, definitely much higher quality than I expected. Charging for first time,it suggests for max battery and life to charge for 8 hours before first use so I haven’t seen on yet but its illuminated red at the bottom where it’s plugged in which is bright so I can only imagine the beauty of its glow when I can turn it on. This LED lamp is really cool with an updated 70s novelty vibe! For the holidays, its been situated outside within my Wayfair gazebo on my front porch for a more festive look and extra light, (that is, when the temperature is not too much below freezing). Its very lightweight and easy to carry, Everyone that has seen it loves it! It would work great in a childs room as a nightlight or reading source and conveniently shuts off when the battery is low. Personally, I charge it when I go to bed and its fully charged and ready to go the following morning. You could also charge it during the day to ensure a fully charged battery at night. It was delivered professionally and quickly. There was no assembly needed, only a bit of a charge for many hours of enjoyment on the first night. After charging overnight to use outdoors, the lamp shut off within 20 minutes.
