Decent fan for the price. Instructions were very basic without a great deal of detail. Had to do some research on the web to clarify wiring questions. But, all in all, assembly was not difficult and the fan seems to be quiet and has several speed andlighting modes. Remote is useful. Tips: 1. If your outlet has red, black, and white wires, only the black and white are connected to fan; cap the red with a wire nut. 2. Green and yellow wire on bracket connects to ground. 3. You may need to replace two existing screws on motor with longer screws in order to secure the ceiling cover. 4. A flat screw driver set is very helpful in securing those two screws because the space between the cover and motor housing is tight. 5. Some bolt holes were too small for the bolts supplied. I got this for my nephew in college, and he has no complaints. Its a small size fan which is nice for small spaces. The fan works great & the light is a cool added touch! It can get pretty bright, enough to light up the whole 14 x 20 gazebo we have it under. Thinking about taking down the string lights we also have under the gazebo, since the fanlight is so bright & adjustable. May have to get another fan just to move the air around a little better.
