I was happy to find these shades for our patio. Hadn't had much luck except to order custom made at three times the price! I wish these were offered in shorter lengths....96 x 96 is 3 feet longer than the openings on my patio, but we can unroll them to the floor at almost 8 feet, or just leave them at the top of our brick wall and have extra fabric on the roll. As it’s getting dark in the evening, and the lights are on in our kitchenfamily room, you can see everything in our home almost as clearly as if the shade were not in place. Also, my home is fully automated with Alexa control. I have two universal RF hubs (Bond Bridge Pro and Toyanc IRRF transmitter) for home automation, and for some reason, both accepted the programming frequency of the remote (433.92 MHz), but neither would transmit the right codes. I purchased the 60” wide sunshades in gray. I wanted them to be inset in the frame of my screened in patio, which is 60.5”. Unfortunately, they were too wide so we had to mount them on the outside of the frame. Also, just note that the fabric is about an inch short in width than the metal roller. Wasn’t too hard to install if you have the right tools for a brick house. Hubby needed an excuse to get a new hammer drill. We tried to get a contractor to install but it was too hard to get a call back. After a month we just installed ourselves. We just installed this retractable screen on our back paver patio for added privacy that we just weren't getting with plants. The main stand is sleek and easily hides up against a post on our pool cage and the receiving post is also barely noticeable behind a planter, we just need to create a cap for it so water doesn't sit inside and lizards don't setup shop in there. The screen itself feels thick and sturdy, the color is exactly what we wanted and it is not see through.
